Policies & Studio Guidelines
1. Booking & Payment
All services require payment in full or a non-refundable to reserve your spot.
Design services are billed as:
Flat-fee packages or
Hourly consultations, depending on scope.
No work begins until payment is received.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Consultations & events may be rescheduled once with at least 24 hours’ notice.
3. Design Scope & Revisions
Each project includes a clearly defined scope outlined in your proposal.
Set number of revisions is included unless otherwise stated.
Additional revisions, sourcing, or site visits outside the original scope will be billed separately.
4. Purchasing, Ordering & Trade Discounts
Heart & Home may source furniture, lighting, art, and décor on your behalf.
Trade discounts, when available, are applied at Heart & Home’s discretion and are not guaranteed.
Once items are ordered, they cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged unless permitted by the vendor.
Heart & Home is not responsible for:
Manufacturer delays
Backorders
Slight color or material variations
Shipping damage handled directly through the vendor
5. Installation & Styling Days
Installation dates are scheduled once all items have arrived or as per agreement.
Clients must ensure the space is accessible, clean, and ready on install day.
Any delays caused by site access issues may result in additional charges.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide access to layout, measurements and information
Communicate decisions in a timely manner
Respect agreed timelines.
Maintain realistic expectations regarding budget and availability
7. Intellectual Property
All design concepts, layouts, mood boards, drawings, and documents remain the intellectual property of Heart & Home Hoboken.
Designs may not be reused, shared, or executed by another designer without written permission.
8. Photography & Marketing
Heart & Home reserves the right to photograph completed projects and events for marketing, social media, and portfolio use.
Client names and personal details are never shared.
If you prefer your project not be photographed, this must be communicated in writing.
9. Liability
Heart & Home is not responsible for:
Pre-existing structural issues
Contractor work performed by third parties not by Heart & Home team
Wear and tear after project completion and inspection
Clients are responsible for securing pets, valuables, and personal items during installs.
10. Events, Workshops & Pop-Ups
Tickets for events are non-refundable.
Tickets may be transferred with prior notice.
Event times are fixed; late arrivals may miss portions of the experience.
11. Agreement
By booking services with Heart & Home Hoboken, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these policies.

Together, we pause to consider our goals, hopes, and direction. This is about aligning with ourselves and with the journey ahead. This is a chance to reconnect with what brought you here—your questions, your hopes, your turning points—and consider how they’ve shifted or deepened.

How It Works

Browse our upcoming events to find the one that feels right for you. We host events year-round in all different locations and climates.

Sign up and pay all required fees to reserve your spot. If plans change, you can cancel up to 14 days before the retreat start to receive a 50% refund.

After booking, we'll send you a Welcome Packet with everything you need to know—detailed schedules, packing list recommendations, add-ons to consider, and more.

We'd recommend booking your transportation to and from the event as soon as possible, to ensure you can arrive without any complications or delays.
